High (Way) Priestess - Rev. Morgan Pandolfino

My heritage is Sicilian and Celtic and I was included in rituals from childhood in the Stregheria tradition of the Old Ways. I have explored many systems of healing and spirituality taking me to sacred centres of knowledge all over the world. I have chosen my own path and make my own medicine from a blend of these many wisdoms. in 1998 at the age of 21 I gained a post graduate diploma in chinese medicine, I then went on to study hypnosis and am a qualified and registered clinical hypnotherapist and master hypnotist. In 2004 I was ordained through the Interfaith Seminary. I have been privileged to perform ancient ceremonies and rituals at sacred sites with my teachers who include the Dali Lama's two highest lamas 1995, Mayan Elder Hunbratz Men, Bob Randall Aboriginal Elder and custodian of Uluru (Aus). Here in the UK Marion Green, Eagles Wings, Doctor Norma Milanovich and others who have all enriched my experience and knowledge and to whom I am eternally grateful.

Handfasting

Handfasting is a very old concept dating back to the days when most people could not afford expensive metals for their rings. In the ceremonies of old, the couple would come together to have their hands bound - thus the term "Handfasted"

Some of these ceremonies were only binding for a year and a day, while others made the commitment for life and some even made it for eternity, throughout all lifetimes.

Modern handfasting usually include both the binding of the hands as well as the exchanging of rings. Another common element of most handfastings is the "jumping of the broom". By jumping the broom, the couple symbolically leave their past behind and make a fresh start with their lives "Swept clean" of any past negativity and burdens.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a handfasting last?
Typically weddings are from 20 - 30 minutes long. However through including different rites and elements, this can be extended to 45 minutes to an hour or if you are using scripts, reduced to 10 minutes.

Do you perform themed ceremonies?
Absolutely! It is important that the ceremony be an authentic expression of the couples individuality.
 
Do you perform same sex marriages? 
Yes, I am more than happy to perform a partnership ceremony or commitment handfasting for any loving relationship including those in poly relationships.

How much would a typical ceremony cost?
Each service is unique and the costs vary to reflect the complexity of the service required, but are typically £150-£300.

Whatever our beliefs, ritual is a very powerful way of intergrating and honouring new experiences, life changes and personal commitments.   

Interfaith Ministers
Interfaith Ministers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and faiths and are trained to teach, counsel and serve all in their communities regardless of faith, religion or beliefs.

We affirm the trurth in all religions, faiths and spiritual traditions. We are rooted in our own faith, mine being a Pagan and Shamanic path yet recognise the universality of the teachings, values and above all, the sacred common to all authentic spiritual traditions.

I completed the educational requirements of the Interfaith Seminary for ordination as an Interfaith Minister and spiritiual counsellor, and was ordained by the faculty in 2004 following 15 years as a licensed therapist.
